Visa

Please keep in mind that while a visa is not required, you must:
- Hold a passport valid at least six months on entry with one blank visa page
- Hold proof of onward/return flights
- Hold proof of sufficient funds relative to your intended length of stay
- Hold documents showing proof of purpose of trip
Vaccinations
There are no mandatory vaccinations to travel to Senegal however, for your peace of mind, you can consult a vaccination center you trust in the country where you reside and ask them for guidance.

Language
The official language is French, while Wolof is the most widely spoken indigenous language.
Climate
The dry season lasts from late November to May, with temperatures ranging from 20°C to 30°C. In the north, the wet season lasts from July to September, while in the south, in Casamance, it lasts from June to October, with an average temperature of 35°C, high humidity, and the possibility of rain and thunderstorms.
Currency
The local currency is the CFA franc. Currently, €1 is equivalent to approximately 650 CFA francs. Major credit cards are only accepted in major commercial establishments and almost exclusively in large hotels.
