Discovery Program Dakar Gorée
8:00 a.m.: Departure from the Royal Horizon Baobab Hotel in La Somone by private air-conditioned bus.
Transfer to Dakar and boarding for the island of Gorée, about twenty minutes by ferry from Dakar.
Visit of the island and entrance to the Maison des Esclaves.
Lunch on site.
Return to Dakar and visit of the city’s main points of interest: the Byzantine-style Cathedral of African Memory, the Presidential Palace, the Place de l’Indépendence, with its colonial-style buildings flanked by more modern constructions, the old railway station, an architectural gem, and the spice market.
6:00 p.m.: Return to the Royal Horizon Baobab Hotel for dinner and milonga.
Cost: 75 euros (to be paid on site in cash)
